Te Au Reka is a large, complex and unique programme spanning the courts and tribunals of New Zealand.

Te Haeata/The OpportunityWe are looking for Senior Advisors to join the Programme Investment and Management team.
This team is responsible for the direction, delivery and the health of the Te Au Reka Programme, as well as supporting the Deputy Secretary with management of day-to-day business as usual activities for the Te Au Reka Business Group.You will lead and provide support across a broad range of topics and issues that relate to the operation and management of the Te Au Reka Programme and business group:Deputy Secretary Office and business group support
  • provide quality assurance and strategic advice to the Deputy Secretary and Te Au Reka leadership team to ensure all business requirements are met.
This includes development of business resilience plans and performance measures; input into processes such as the Annual Review, Estimates hearings, and Ministry reporting; and drafting timely and accurate responses to official correspondence, judicial and ministerial correspondence, parliamentary questions, and other correspondence as required.Programme Management support
  • support the wider Te Au Reka team to ensure all programme milestones and deliverable requirements are met.
This includes providing the Te Au Reka leadership team with advice and insights on key programme activities; input into regular and ad-hoc programme status and performance reporting; monitoring of programme risks, issues and dependencies, and ensuring programme registers and trackers are updated and maintained; and development of papers and memorandums to be submitted to programme governance or related groups and committees for discussion and approval.Programme Workstream activities
  • lead and support the development and delivery of key programme collateral, workstream deliverables and programme assurance activities.

This includes input into Project and Programme Management Plans, Business Cases and financial drawdowns, and support for Programme assurance activities and assessments, e.g.

Business Case Clinics and Gateway reviews.

Ō Pūkenga/Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this position you will have:Experience in a project or programme environment, including experience writing status and progress reports, project/programme management plans, and other project collateral.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical thinking skills.An understanding of the machinery of government and public sector systems and processes (Ministers offices, ministerial and government processes).Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.Strong understanding of Microsoft products.A willingness to be a team player, and to contribute as necessary to deliver programme outcomes of a high standard.

Utu ā-tau/SalaryThe appointing salary for this role is between $97,208
  • $135,539 based on skills and experience.
