Moving Service Carpenter

YOUNG Removal Limited is based in Auckland and is involved in the family and business removal services all over the greater Auckland region. We are looking for 1-2 Professional Moving Service Carpenter to join our busy team. Suitable applicants should have a minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience.

1. Review and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
2. Select appropriate timber and building materials, and carry out detailed setting-out and layout work.
3. Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble timber components in accordance with construction drawings.
4. Construct, install, or repair structural frameworks, wall framing, roof trusses, and floor structural systems.
5. Install and repair damaged flooring, ceilings, and wall surfaces.
6. Remove, reinstall, and adjust doors, door frames, windows, and window frames.
7. Demolish and clear non-load-bearing partition walls during relocation or renovation projects.
8. Carry out interior lining installation, partition framing, ceiling installation, and finishing carpentry work.
9. Set out and construct formwork to assist with concrete foundation works.
10. Repair wall linings, framing, skirting boards, and decorative mouldings following the removal of fixed fittings.
11. Dismantle, refit, and reinstall fixed cabinetry, wardrobes, shelving units, and large built-in furniture.
12. Inspect completed work to ensure dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with required workmanship standards.
13. Comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements.
14. Calculate material quantities and order materials as required.
15. Coordinate with other trades to ensure the smooth progress of relocation and renovation projects.

Employees are guaranteed payment for at least 30 hours per week. Applicants for this position should have New Zealand residency or a valid NZ work visa.
