Are you someone who brings patience, warmth, and calm to those around you? Do you take pride in supporting older people to live with dignity, comfort, and connection?We’re a small, supportive group of rest homes, and our Whanganui dementia facility is looking for dedicated Caregivers to join our team.
We have permanent full time, permanent part time, and casual positions available.
About the Role
You’ll be part of a close knit team providing high quality, person centred care to residents living with dementia. Your day may include:- Supporting residents with personal cares and daily routines
- Creating a calm, reassuring environment
- Assisting with meals, mobility, and activities
- Building meaningful relationships with residents and families
- Working collaboratively with clinical and care teams
- Following care plans and maintaining accurate documentation
This is meaningful work where your presence truly matters.
What We’re Looking For- A compassionate, patient, and reliable personality
- Experience in aged care or dementia care is an advantage, but not essential
- A willingness to learn and complete relevant training
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Someone who values respect, dignity, and resident wellbeing
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts (for permanent roles)
