**What the Role Looks Like:**
We’re looking for an experienced **Class 5 Nightshift Operator** to join our highly skilled and dynamic team, operating a top-notch fleet.
This is a General Freight Curtainsider role based in Christchurch, 5 nights per week with rostered weekends. This will involve loading the unit before heading to Hanmer/Culverden or Cheviot for a trailer swap before unloading the unit and returning to Christchurch.
The hours may vary depending on business requirements. The candidate must be clean and tidy with good habits around in-cab presentation. Flexibility is required to suit business and seasonal needs.
Your attention to safety, maintenance, and vehicle operation will reflect the high standards our loyal customers and suppliers expect.
**Work Pattern:**
Full-time, *permanent* role with a regular roster:
- **Nightshift**
- Monday – Friday: 3pm until finish, with rostered weekends
- **Average shift:** 10-12 hours
- *Class 5 Licence** (or equivalent) with 2 years of experience.
- F and DG endorsement and OSH Certificate essential
- Good geographical knowledge of the Canterbury region
- Confidence navigating narrow rural roads and gravel terrain
- HPMV experience
- Night shift experience – you’re flexible and reliable
- Experienced driving a Road Ranger/manual truck (essential)
- A knack for learning new technology – show us your adaptability!
