Handyman/Caretaker

• minor general maintenance and day to day repairs
• fixing the little things before they become big things
• basic painting and general upkeep
• feeding and caring for our aviary birds
• taking residents out for an occasional van ride
• completing basic audit checks of the facility
• working respectfully around our residents
• working in a timely manner with the team

• practical and reliable and able to work independently
• be confident driving a van and interacting with the residents
• be friendly and patient with a good sense of humour
• first aid certificate would be an advantage as this role requires first aid (training can be provided)
• must have a full and clean drivers license
• must be eligble to work in NZ
• must have a clean police check

• permanent part time position ( days and hours are negotiable)
• friendly team and work environment
• varied role, no 2 days are the same
• a sense of achievement and appreciation for a job well done

Our current handyman is retiring after more than 5 years of dedicated service. He will be available for full training and orientation.
