You will be responsible for the building, coordinating and managing our volunteer programme, including recruitment, orientation, training and coordination of volunteers, providing support and an effective line of communication for all volunteers.Our goal is to improve the patient’s experience, provide high quality healthcare that can be relied upon for our patients and stakeholders.This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday position based at Middlemore Hospital.About YouYou will have outstanding organisational and communication skills—both verbal and written. Success in this role requires strong networking abilities, proactivity, and excellent administration skills, all while expertly juggling multiple responsibilities.
You’ll collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including consumers, clinicians, managers, representatives from other districts, other volunteer organisations, and Counties Manukau staff.A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar/related roleExperience in coordinating a team and/or coordination large groups of people within a charity, NGO or social service agency sectorsA love of working with people of all kinds, from all backgrounds.
