About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Specialist to join our Ophthalmology department here at Waikato hospital. As a successful Specialist you will play a key role in managing patients within the designated departments commensurate with and appropriate to the skill level of the position.
Day to day you will be maintaining and extending the knowledge and skill base required for effective performance. This is a 0.92 FTE fixed term, 12-month position where you will work Monday to Friday with a 24/7 on call roster. Our team includes experienced consultants, fellows, training and non-training registrars in addition to optometrists, nurses, technicians and an orthoptist who all work closely together to deliver high-quality patient care.
