Sheetmetal Tradesman
About the role:
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and highly skilled sheet metal tradesman to join our established family run business. We are a light gauge (primarily up to 3 mm) sheet metal shop specialising in flues, flashings, ducting, and aluminium and stainless fabrication.
What are we looking for?
We're after someone who takes pride in their work and brings both technical ability and a positive attitude to the workshop. Ideal candidates will have:
- Proven experience of working with a range of metals incl galv, stainless, and aluminium of varying thickness
- A can-do attitude, and strong work ethic
- Someone who shows initiative, can think on their feet and work unsupervised
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- High attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
- Pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- Reliability, punctuality, and self-motivation
- Good communication skills
- While not essential, aluminium and stainless tig welding skills would be an advantage
- HVAC manufacturing experience could also be a plus as this is an area of the business we are looking to grow
- Variety! Being a general light gauge shop, we work with galv, stainless, aluminium, Coloursteel and copper, so no two days are the same
- Flexibility – While offering a full time 40 hours per week position, we are open to the possibility of flexible hours, or 4 day weeks if that is what you are looking for
