We provide Signals Intelligence and Cyber Security and resilience to organisations of national significance to successfully navigate in an unpredictable world.The roleThe Government Communications Security Bureau's Collection Branch needs your technical and analytic expertise to discover, direct and defend operational opportunities and activity.Collection Branch's CNO Exploitation team is central to the branch's efforts to grow access and mitigate risks to capabilities through data analytics and discovery.
The collection engine needs data to fuel its operations, and the CNO Exploitation team will be a key enabler.
The team is collocated with Access teams to provide timely and tailored analysis of communications, and access- focused tradecraft, tools and analytic techniques.Key responsibilitiesThe CNO Exploitation team will develop Collection Branch's operational security posture to mitigate cyber security threats to operations and capabilities.
The team's analysis and discoveries will also help guide ongoing operational capability development.Day-to-day you will be the technical expert that is able to conduct a variety of technical tasks and contribute ideas and initiative to the development and delivery of technical work streams.Who we're looking forTo be successful in this role, you will have strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately identify, analyse and solve difficult problems enabled through some combination of the following: A tertiary qualification, preferably with a technical focus such as engineering, telecommunications or computer science, information or science technology, or equivalent learning through experience; Experience managing relationships with a variety of technical stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes; A good understanding of telecommunications technology and trends, including Interest in internet culture and social media; The ability to analyse diverse information sets, derived from a range of information sources, to reach sound analytical conclusions; and Confidence with technology and with a strong understanding of internet security.Your professional development is important to us.
