Quarry General Labourers
Are you mechanically minded, physically fit, and not afraid of heights? We're looking for a 2 Quarry General Labourers to join our hardworking team and help keep our operations running smoothly and safely.
Our client is one of Southland's leading aggregate exporters. They supply premium aggregate for all projects from swimming pools, landscape and garden features to flooring and countertops All their aggregate products are sourced in New Zealand and are 100% natural and they ship anywhere in New Zealand as well as globally.
We are looking for candidates to fill 2 Quarry General Labourer positions to join the existing team in the daily operations within their aggregate processing plant based in Awarua, Invercargill.
Whilst initially these positions will be full time temporary positions, there is a pathway to full time permanent roles and career progression for the right candidates in this company.
What You'll Be Doing:- General labouring duties around the quarry site
- Assisting with maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Operating a forklift to transport materials safely and efficiently
- Supporting quarry operations at various heights (e.g., on conveyors, crushers, or elevated platforms)
- Keeping the site clean, safe, and organised
- Always following strict health and safety procedures
- A current and valid Forklift Licence (F Endorsement preferred)
- Proven competence operating a forklift in a busy or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using tools
- A high level of physical fitness and a solid work ethic
- Confidence working at heights
- Reliable transport and a full driver's licence
- Stable, full-time work with an established company
