About the Role

Right now, there is an opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to join the Allied Health team who provide services across in-patient, and community care services in South Canterbury.

Reporting to the Professional Leader, day to day this role provides safe and clinically effective assessment, either within a specific or across a broad range of areas. As part of social work department the role works collaboratively with colleagues, other allied staff and services.

About you

We welcome applications from candidates with the following
  • Full registration with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration board and a current practising certificate
  • ANZASW membership and participation in monthly clinical supervision
  • Experience managing complex needs of patients and whanau
  • Aptitude to make autonomous decisions within scope of practice
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
