Delivery driver & operations supervisor
Ice Rescue is a small vibrant family-owned Wellington business supplying retailers, cafes, bars, restaurants and other hospitality venues with premium quality ice, specialty ice cubes and citrus juices.
We're looking for someone who is fit, detail orientated, highly organised and motivated to join our team as an operations supervisor and delivery driver.
The operations supervisor will ensure the smooth running of Ice Rescue’s day to day operations. You will manage a small team of staff, core operations, product delivery and the company’s strategy.
You need to be a great communicator, be organised and able to work independently. You will have a “can do” attitude and be a creative problem solver. We operate in a factory environment and you will be expected to work in the factory four days a week over Winter (Monday-Wednesday & Fridays) with more hours in Summer by agreement, helping on the factory floor and dealing with customer enquiries, as well as delivering products to venues and customers in the Wellington area.
Our operations supervisor will cultivate and maintain relationships with customers by enhancing customer service quality and satisfaction. You will manage operations efficiently, think strategically and identify opportunities for growth and business improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
Ability to think strategically and identify and implement operational efficiencies.Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Physically fit and able to lift and carry at most 32kg.
Be highly organised, motivated and happy to work independently, with a real eye for detail.
Great customer service ethic and problem solving ability.
Proficient working with and amending spreadsheets (crm, sales and delivery schedules are on Google sheets).
Previous experience with Xero is preferred but not essential (full training will be provided).
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Experience managing a small team preferred.
Comfortable using Apple Mac computers, Gmail, and the Google Suite.
Delivery driving experience is preferred.
Experience in sales and marketing, or in the food/hospitality industry, is a plus.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors by enhancing customer service quality and satisfaction.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for efficient operations.
Improve systems, processes, and best practices, while monitoring manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality products.
Uphold health and safety guidelines, including the company’s Food Safety Programme, and ensure compliance.
Implement quality assurance measures for products.
Manage supply chain processes, including inventory, production, sales, and sourcing.
Maintain service operations to ensure sustainability.
