The Role:**
Your primary responsibility will be unloading cargo aboard fishing vessels, specifically in the freezer section, where you will load boxes of fish onto crates. These boxes weigh between **20 to 30 kilograms**, making this a physically demanding role that requires **stamina, strength, and the ability to work in cold environments**.
You will work on a rotational shift: **one hour of work followed by a 30-minute paid break**. Shifts can last up to **12 hours**, depending on when vessels dock. Shifts may be offered **on short notice**.
Additionally, you may be assigned to the **sorting line**, where you will be responsible for sorting boxes of fish by species. This involves unloading boxes from large pallets and organizing them onto separate pallets accordingly. Be prepared for continuous **physical lifting and handling** throughout your shift.
**What We're Looking For:**- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy boxes and working in cold conditions.
- Availability to work on **short notice**.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role or marine environment is **a plus but not required**.
- Load boxes of fish onto crates in the freezer section of fishing vessels.
- Move products weighing between **10 to 30 kilograms**.
- Follow strict **Health & Safety protocols**.
- Adhere to all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain an **efficient workflow**.
