The Opportunity:We’re looking for Senior and Intermediate Water Engineers to join our Wellington region-based team. You’ll work on meaningful 3-waters and civil infrastructure projects, helping clients make confident decisions and deliver reliable services.
We welcome applicants from consulting, contracting, or council backgrounds with strong engineering capability and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver designs, reports, calculations, and technical assessments
- Undertake investigations, feasibility studies, and renewals planning
- Provide water, wastewater, stormwater, and general civil engineering input
- Support MSQA, site monitoring, and contract administration
- Assist with project management, planning, and reporting
- Build strong client relationships and support proposals/bids
- Ensure compliance with legislation, NZ standards, and H&S requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Intermediate: 3–6+ years experience
- Senior: 7–12+ years experience
- Experience in 3-waters and civil infrastructure
- Chartered or working towards chartership
- Strong communication, organisation, and relationship skills
- Clean NZ driver licence
- $95,000–$140,000 (negotiable based on experience and capability)
