Retail Assistant, Multi-tasking Sales Assistant

Closed on all Sundays and Public Holidays.

We are a well-established family business specializing in knives, cookware, chefwear, and manicure/personal care items. We are seeking a mature retail worker with strong life skills and an outgoing personality to join our small team.

Key Requirements:

• Previous retail experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
• Computer confidence, including use of EFTPOS and our computer system
• Reliability and a cooperative, team-worker attitude
• Clear communication skills and common sense
• Accurate and accountable
• Flexibility with hours and willingness to cooperate with team members
• Desire to acquire specialist product knowledge quickly
• Responsible and willing to take ownership of your actions
• Interest in cooking, hunting, fishing, manicure, or personal care is an advantage
• Suitable for someone walking or using public transport (no onsite parking available)

Role Overview:

• Answering the phone
• Serving customers in person
• Dispatching orders
• Stocking shelves
• Keeping the shop clean and tidy

As a specialist store, it is important that you develop a good understanding of our product range, including cookware, various types of knives and scissors, and personal care items. Assistance and training will be provided to help you build this knowledge.
