About the Role

This is a full-time role for a Septic Tank Service Technician. You’ll operate a vacuum truck to clean septic tanks, transport liquid waste, and liaise with clients across the Waikato. No two days are the same - expect a mix of driving, problem-solving, physical work, and face-to-face customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vacuum tankers and jetting equipment safely and efficiently
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain your truck and gear
  • Talk with customers, explain what you’re doing, and provide a great experience
  • Dig, lift, run hoses - get the job done right the first time
  • Accurately document each job and complete logbooks
  • Occasionally help out with water delivery or other tasks across CST divisions

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Have a positive attitude, love getting stuck in, and are up for learning
  • Are trustworthy, reliable, and safety-conscious
  • Are great with customers and can explain things clearly
  • Are physically fit and capable of manual work
  • Have a clean Class 2 (or higher) licence - Class 1F minimum required
  • Are willing to get your DG endorsement (we’ll pay for it if needed)

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Previous truck driving or liquid waste experience
  • Knowledge of AroFlo or CRM systems (not essential - training provided)
  • Experience in service, trades or mechanical work
