- re building ahealth system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability,whānau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThe Psychologist for Infant Child and Adolescent, provides specialistpsychological assessment and treatment for children and young people withmoderate to severe mental health difficulties, on an individual basis, ensuringinvolvement of their primary caregiver where appropriate, in conjunction withthe multi-disciplinary team.
The role isintegral to assist the management team to support the ongoing maintenance anddevelopment of the Strengths Model Recovery Approach within the Mental Healthand Addiction ServiceAboutthe Team/Service/ Location Thisposition is based in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team which is partof the hospital campus on High Street.
There are a small team of part-timepsychologist who provide assessment and therapy to children and youth.
There isa very strong multi- disciplinary approach within the team that enablesholistic care and support.
There are also strong links with Schools, Non-GovernmentOrganisations and Community services.
AboutyouThe successful applicant will be experienced withassessments, including psychometric and neuropsychological and be able to developclinical formulations and provide advice on effective interventions.They would also need to establish methods forevaluating the efficacy of treatments.
