Are you an early bird who loves coffee, food, and fast-paced mornings? We’re on the hunt for an Experienced Head Barista to join our small, tight-knit team at our busy container café in beautiful Paremata.
Little Green Olive is a small, sustainable community orientated café looking out to Porirua inlet. We focus on organic fair-trade coffee and a whole foods focused menu.We have great customers who are always up for a yarn! The LGO team is welcoming, vibrant and fun.
- What we’re looking for:
- A skilled barista with strong coffee knowledge, excellent technique, and consistency under pressure
- Someone who loves crafting great customer experiences as much as they love crafting exceptional coffee
- A natural leader who can support, train, and uplift a small, friendly team
- Someone proactive, organised, and comfortable taking ownership of systems, standards, and efficiency
- A positive communicator who thrives in a busy, community-focused environment
- Someone who doesn't mind early mornings (Open shift starts at 5:30am) and Saturdays
- You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing daily coffee operations and delivering consistently high-quality beverages
- Training and mentoring fellow baristas and staff
- Managing coffee-related stock, ordering, and equipment care
- Supporting smooth and consistent operations alongside the general manager
- Helping to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our loyal customers
