Sheet Metal Fabricator
We are a small family owned & operated business based in Mt Roskill who manufacture custom Aluminium & Sheet metal products for the roofing industry.
Position overview: The successful applicant will be required to show competence in light sheet metal fabrication. Experience in 1.6-2mm Aluminium TIG Welding would be a bonus but is not essential. Experience operating a hydraulic folder would be an advantage, but not as critical as the light fabrication experience.
Any successful applicant will be required to demonstrate a minimum ability to fabricate basic sheet metal rainwater products.
The successful applicant will need to:- Will be able to safely operate equipment including lock seamer & folder
- Have a full understanding of the basic principles of development, for example square to round transitions, rainwater head boxes (tapered, rolled, etc.)
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Have a positive attitude, work well as a team.
- Be able to work to deadlines
- Have an eye for detail and take pride in their work
- Be reliable & productive
- Be able to follow detailed instructions
- Have excellent communication skills
- Hold a full NZ drivers' license – F endorsement is a bonus
- Ensure finished products are made to a high standard
Hours are full time, Monday to Friday, 6.00 am-2.30 pm, Overtime available.
