Health & Safety Coordinator

Rolandson Construction Group Limited is a construction company engaged in the construction of residential houses and buildings across the Auckland region. Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to support our construction operations and ensure compliance with New Zealand health and safety legislation.

The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety systems across construction sites to ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors. This role involves regular site visits and close coordination with site managers, workers and sub-contractors.

Wages will be paid weekly

• Implement and maintain the company’s Health and Safety Management System in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
• Identify workplace hazards and conduct site-specific risk assessments
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox meetings
• Ensure all workers, subcontractors, and visitors complete site inductions
• Monitor compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain health and safety records, registers, and compliance documentation
• Advising site managers, supervisors, workers and contractors on safety practices
• Promote a positive health and safety culture across all construction projects
• Provide health and safety advice to management and site personnel

• Diploma
• Strong administration and documentation skills
• High attention to detail and strong time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with site-based workers and management
• Understanding of land and building development activities
• Competency in Microsoft Office and online compliance platforms
