About the RoleThe Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is responsible for coordinating the day to day management of staff and resources within the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) and the Child Health Outreach Specialists team (CHOS).In conjunction with the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, the CNM will provide professional nursing leadership and support, creating an environment in which clinical skills in nursing and high standards of nursing care are developed and maintained to provide quality care for neonates and their families/whanau.
The aim will be to improve client care outcomes through the continual quality improvement of nursing and clinical service delivery About the Team/Service/ LocationThe SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit) at Lakes DHB is a 10-bed, level two neonatal unit that provides care for sick and/or preterm infants greater than 32 weeks gestation.The Children’s Outreach Nursing Service care for children with acute and chronic illnesses in their home within the Lakes area.The service consists of a team of experienced children’s nurses who are available 5 days a week 8.30am – 4.30pmHealth New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand.
