NZW is a dynamic, multi-regional wine processing company who provide the winemaking services for a select number of super premium New Zealand and International wine companies. We are currently recruiting for our 2026 Harvest Crew. Processing premium grapes from multiple regions and multiple varieties on behalf of our Clients, you will join a large sized winery in a hands-on role in Cellar operations.

We have positions available as follows: Assistant Winemakers (4 required)
  • 2 or more vintages experience
  • Formal training as a winemaker preferred
  • Familiar with winery software
  • Ability to supervise a team of cellar hands
  • Expert knowledge in operating cellar equipment
Experienced Cellar Hands (40 required)
  • More than 1 vintage experience (no formal training required)
  • Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Perform routine tasks in the cellar and operate winery machinery. These tasks include grape receival and processing, general juice additions and transfers, barrel filling, racking, floatation, and lees processing of juices.
  • Supervisory experience desirable
Cellar Hands (30 required)
  • No experience required.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Perform routine tasks in the cellar and operate winery machinery. These tasks include grape receival and processing, general juice additions and transfers, barrel filling, racking, floatation, and lees processing of juices.
Lab Technician (2 required)
  • No experience required.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks which include collection of samples and analysis of juices.

Further Details

All jobs will commence in late-February/early-March for a period of between 6 - 16 weeks. During the vintage peak, staff will be expected to work a 12-hour shift, 6 days per week.
