Wanted Baker and Cook
We are very busy bakehouse and cafe open 7 days a weeks
We are short of baker and Cook hence we are looking for an experience Baker and Cook with skills, friendly attitude, good time management, Start working early, hard working, ability to work under pressure and is keen to help us to grow the business.
Baker - Requirement
You will need to or must have- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Baking pastries such as pie, breads, sweets dough, cake etc (Practice experience and knowledge)
- Certificate in Cookery and Baking or other qualifications is advantage and may consider for this role
- Good communication, working attitude, kitchen and baking skills
- Must be able to work in early hour, on the weekend and public holiday
- Able to work from 5 am to 2 pm
Responsibility and tasks will be but not limited to the following
Prepare, checking and weighing of ingredient and Baking speciality breads, sweets dough, pastries, flat cakes, pies etc.Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
Making speciality rolls and breads as need by the menu or requested by the owner
Cook the filling for pies or savouries
Monitoring oven temperatures and goods appearances to determine baking time.
Loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of breads, pies, rolls and other pastry products.
Liaise with other Baker and work as a team to ensure the smooth running of kitchen operation.
Make sure all day to day job is completed before finish the shift.
Before and after work must keep working area in good sanitary and clean including baking equipment to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulation and food control plans
Cook - Requirement
You will need to or must have- A minimum of 2 Years working experience as Cook in the café or similar
- Certificate in Cookery and other qualifications is advantage and may consider for this role
- Have knowledge and understand of Basic food and hygiene requirement
- Good working attitude and responsible
- Must be able to work on the weekend and public holiday
- Able to work between 7 am to 5 pm based on roster
Responsibility will be but not limited to the following
Use of all foods stock and kitchen equipmentFood, ingredient preparation, seasoning and cooking dishes to customers order
Placing the order on the plates or takeaway box
Check and maintain kitchen stock level and examining order (foods and ingredients) when received from food suppliers and store them
May freeze and preserve foods when required
Train and supervise other kitchen staffs when required
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards as set by council
Location, Salary and hours- The Larder Cafe and Bakery located at 260 Te Rangitautahanga Road, Turangi
- Pay rate of $25 to $30 per hours
- Minimum of not less than 30 hour per weeks
