Caregiver

Lady Wigram Village, a state-of-the-art care facility in Wigram, Christchurch, is on the lookout for an exceptional Caregiver to join their team based in our 60 bed hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of this family-owned and operated village.

Working in an environment such as this, it goes without saying that you will be professional, approachable, and able to form positive relationships with residents, families, and staff. Above all, you will have a great sense of passion to work with the elderly with a genuineness to care about what you do.

We have a variety of shifts available in the afternoon, offering a minimum of 30 hours per week offering Level 1 ($23.62) up to Level 4 ($29.10).

Key responsibilities will involve: -Provide a person-centred approach to care where residents are treated with dignity, compassion and respect

• Working closely with the team ensuring care plans are being followed.
• The role will have significant dining and nutritional support duties.
• Use of safe care and practice in your daily work

Your written and verbal communication skills will be at a high standard, and you will also be competent in computer literacy with concise clear documentation skills.

You must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand. Valid First Aid Certificate is an advantage.
