About the Role ICAFS is seeking a registered Psychologist to join ourKaiārahi team. Our Kaiārahi team provides evidence-based interventions andcomprehensive psychological assessments for young people withmoderate-to-severe mental health difficulties.
You will work alongside youngpeople and their families to work towards their goals. As part of this work,you will also liaise and consult with hospital and community partners, such aslocal schools and Oranga Tamariki to support the wellbeing of our young people.About theTeam/Service/ Location ICAFS is a community-based team that providespecialist assessment and treatment for 0 - 18 year olds and their families/ whanauin the Hutt Valley.
We offer a range of therapeutic approaches as well ashaving two specialist treatment teams, family therapy (with a screening team)and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). We work closely with our primarypartners, including supporting young people at a local care a protectionresidence.
We have a large team of passionate clinicians, including socialworkers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and psychotherapists that youwould be working closely alongside. We have clinicians with a range ofexperience and are known to provide excellent support to trainees, interns andnew graduates who are frequently working within our service.
Our serviceutilises the CAPA (Choice and Partnership Approach) Framework.About you Ability to provide high qualitypsychological assessments and therapeutic interventions.Experience in risk identification andmanagement.Previousexperience in child and adolescent mental health.Hold New Zealand registration as aPsychologist and be eligible for a current practicing certificate.Working at HealthNew Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is'the weaving of wellness'.
