Opportunity to join an in South Auckland in a sole charge position reporting to a People and Culture leader.
The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for developing. implementing and overseeing health and safety programs, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. The role is critical in fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
As the SME for Health and Safety this role will also play a leading role in the development and delivery of the Health and Safety Strategy and Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Wellbeing Management
- Strategy and implementation
- Provide expert guidance/coaching to business leaders
- Promote and engage with employees to achieve targets
- Audits and inspections, Investigations, compliance management
- Continuous improvement
- Lead Health & Safety Reps meeting
- Reporting
- Risk management
We are looking for manufacturing or construction/infrastructure Health & Safety experience. We are looking for a tertiary qualification and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Health and Safety- with at least 2 years in management. You will need to be experienced with systems and have proven leadership capability across all levels in a manufacturing environment.
