Ambrosia Fine Food Limited T/A Star Cafe Seafood Restaurant, has been offering top-level Yum Cha and other Chinese cuisine for many years in North Shore, Auckland. We now need a Cook to help us provide top-quality food and service. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week.
Key duties will include:
- Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant
- Seasoning food during preparation and cooking, when necessary
- Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation
- Assisting in improving dishes
- Assisting in managing the overall operation of kitchen
- Assisting in ordering supplies and stocks
- Ensuring kitchen's operation complies with hygiene and safety regulations.
To qualify for the job:
- At least two years of work experience in cooking Chinese Cuisine is needed.
- A relevant certificate, or a bachelor's degree in any field, can replace the required work experience.
- Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
- You may be required to work during the weekend
- You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything that goes through your hand is thoroughly clean.
