Your Role:
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our diverse fleet of mobile equipment, including light and heavy trucks, excavators, loaders, rollers, and compactors. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and carrying out routine maintenance, allowing us to deliver top-notch service to our clients.Enjoy the excitement of working in our productive workshops in Queenstown and on various job sites, where no two days are the same. This dynamic role promises variety and the opportunity to tackle new challenges daily, all while contributing to essential projects that support our community and environment.
About You:
We’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
Trade Certification: A trade certification in heavy diesel machinery or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a workshop environment.Hands-On Experience: Ideally, you have 3 years of experience maintaining and repairing a diverse range of light and heavy plant and equipment.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to work effectively with team members and clients.
Team Player: Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to the team dynamic.
Safety Commitment: A strong commitment to health and safety practices.
Reliable & Fit: Honesty, reliability, and physical fitness are essential to succeed in this role.
Can-Do Attitude: A proactive approach to getting the job done efficiently.
