Site Caretaker

A Vacancy has arisen to join Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre as a caretaker. We are looking for someone to cover the centre's operational hours including Weekend and Bank Holidays. We are looking for somebody that's friendly, reliable and enthusiastic to join us.
This is a seasonal position running from April to the end of September. Onsite accommodation will be provided for the successful candidate.Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre is within easy reach of London with good train links, making it a convenient location for applicants wanting to travel to the capital and surrounding areas.
The hours vary to suit the business needs. Shift patterns may be split anywhere from 7:30am to 9:00pm depending on the hires & bookings. The Centre has flexibility in the shifts available to suit the right person.
You will be required to carry out a range of caretaking and cleaning duties within HLAC buildings and surrounding areas.
Caretaker duties and responsibilitiesThe duties of Caretakers vary, depending on the centre's needs. However, some of their common responsibilities include:
- Cleaning areas of the building, boat yard and surrounding areas
- Gardening and performing landscape duties or supervising others in these roles
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
- Monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required
- Opening building at the start of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
- Adhering to the company’s safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
