- Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleWe now have an exciting opportunity for a new or recent New Zealand graduate Occupational Therapist to join our rotational programme at Dunedin Hospital.The rotational programme in Dunedin offers rotations across the continuum of a patient journey, acute, rehabilitation and community where therapists will be given the opportunity to work across both the Dunedin and Wakari Hospital sites.
The rotations will provide the opportunity to develop clinical occupational skills in the acute physical health (Internal Medicine, acute stroke, orthopaedics), rehabilitation (older persons health and Puawai/neuro) wards, and Community teams (Community Allied Health and Home Team).You will provide assessment and treatment for a variety of patients on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting, supported by experienced occupational therapists.
You will also be working alongside teams of health-care professionals to deliver quality patient care and service delivery.Rotation changes are in February and August.Please note these roles requires you to participate in weekend on-call rosters.About youWe are seeking hardworking, enthusiastic and self-directed learners who are keen grow their knowledge and skills across a range of clinical areas offered within Te Whatu Ora Southern Hospitals to join our team.
