Christchurch - Carpenter

Tradestaff Christchurch is currently recruiting a trade-qualified Residential Carpenter for a long-term new build project based in Amberley. This is a great opportunity to work on high-quality housing developments for one of the region’s most reputable construction companies.

The role is site-based in Amberley, making it perfect for qualified carpenters living in Rangiora, Kaiapoi, Pegasus, or surrounding North Canterbury areas who are looking to work close to home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out all stages of residential construction:
• Framing, structural timber work
• Cladding and external finishing
• Interior fix-outs and cabinetry
• Final finishing work
• Reading and working from construction drawings
• Collaborating with other trades and site management
• Maintaining a tidy and safe work environment
• Meeting build timelines while maintaining high standards

We’re after a reliable, skilled carpenter who:

• Is trade qualified (NZ Certificate in Carpentry or similar)
• Has strong experience across the full residential build process
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• Is proactive, efficient, and detail-focused
• Has excellent communication skills and a strong safety mindset

You’ll Need To Have:

• Your own tools and reliable transport
• A current Site Safe or be willing to obtain one
• A good attitude and proven reliability on-site
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

• Consistent, Monday to Friday work, set hours being 7:30am-5:00pm
