North Otago Ditching & Baling Ltd is a family owned business based south of Oamaru - North Otago. We are seeking experienced and motivated people with at least 2 years experience, to come and join our existing staff for the upcoming 2025/2026 season, starting October and finishing March.
The work we carry out contains a wide range of cultivation, preparing ground crops, forage etc. As well as a full range of baling, consisting of round individuals, tube and square balers. Must be able to work as a team and solo, have good communication skills, be able to maintain the equipment they,re operating themselves and confident operating on steeper terrian.
The positions available for operators depending on their experience are Baling, Raking, Cultivation work, Fodder beet drilling, Triple mowers, Tractor trailer combination. Applicants applying must have a FULL NZ Drivers Licence or foreign equivalent with clean record.
Random drug and alcohol testing will be carried out. Due to the nature of the business working outside of normal hours is required including weekends. Our work is also weather related so hrs of work are weather dependent with the minimum of 30hrs per week.
