Retail Duty Manager and Retail Floor Supervisor

Position: Retail Duty Manager
Number of Position Available: 1
Location: Kawerau, Bay of Plenty Region
Payrate: $30 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30

Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements
Must have at least 3 Years in general customer service or retail, business, management or any service sector where an individual has dealt with customers irrespective of the industry she/he has worked previously
OR
Relevant Minimum Level 5 Qualification
AND

Must have Liquor Controller Qualification (LCQ).

Your work will be in Rotational Shift as per 7 Day Roster set out by Management and will involve the following:

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service
  • Ensure customers are looked after and we meet the Consumer Guarantee Act.
  • Achieve Company Goals
  • Staffing store to ideal level
  • Respond to customer complaints in a quick and positive manner as per Company
  • Policies and Procedures and report the matter to the Management if the an Issue is beyond their capability.
  • Follow cash handling as per as per Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Authorization of Payments
Building Sales
  • Provide excellent customer service to excel the reputation of the business
Maintain Records
  • Maintaining records of all transactions
  • Maintaining records of all stocks orders, food deliveries and other purchasing transactions.
  • Records of all maintenance work and other store expenses.
  • Informing Manager of the stock required (wherever applicable)
Policies and Standards
  • Adherence to all company standards as per Company and Procedures
  • Planning menus and set prices
  • Planning and organizing special functions
  • Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
  • Ensuring food prep facilities comply with health regulations
Monitoring standards
  • Provides a harassment free work environment and follow all resources policies as per Company Policies and
Procedures
  • Be punctual and set the correct image to other staff
Enforce Safety and Security Standards
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of all safety and security standards
  • Communicate with Management when safety and security issues arises
  • Report all accidents and incident within 24 hours
  • Enforce policies and provides appropriate actions
Maintain EFFECTIVE Communication at all times
  • Communicate promotions to team members
  • Manage Information and bulletin boards
  • Build positive relationships with team members
  • Guide staff accordingly under the direction of the Management

Payrate: $26.85 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30

Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Requirements
1 year retail management or customer dealing experience Required
Or

No Qualifications Required

Be Physically Fit

The ability to stand for extended periods.

The ability to use labelling and pricing equipment
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented.

A Retail Floor Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the store is presentable at all times and work under the supervision of the Store Manager.

Your work and training will be in Rotational Shift as per Roster set out by the Store Manager and will involve the following:

Your duties will be but not limited
  • Receiving, processing, and organizing shipments and deliveries accordingly.
  • Restocking depleted or low shop items and ensuring that the sales floor is organized according to established
guidelines.
  • Assisting customers in locating desired shop items.
  • Informing customers of shop promotions to encourage purchases.
  • Performing regular price audits to identify and correct price discrepancies.
  • Performing end-of-day cleaning duties, which includes wiping down windows, mirrors, and fixtures as well as
sweeping and mopping the shop floor.
  • Addressing and resolving customers complaints in a professional manner.
  • Processing customer payments using the shop's Software system.
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations as needed.
