Our nursery is growing fast, and we are seeking a strong experienced, and passionate Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher to join in our warm, inclusive and high-quality early learning centre at Sovereign Star Nursery and Preschool.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, nurturing, and engaging educator who brings professionalism, leadership, and genuine care for tamariki and whanau.
The position is open and will be either at Nursery or Preschool.
We are privately owned centre operating with 100% qualified teachers and full pay parity. We value respect, responsibility, relationships, and teamwork. We are committed to delivering high standards of education and care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
Candidates must:
In-depth knowledge of infant and toddler pedagogy and a passion for Reggio and respectful care principles or a willingness to grow in these areasDeliver high-quality early childhood education aligned with Te Whariki and the centre’s philosophy and values
Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Create inspiring learning environments that support children’s wellbeing and development
Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive teaching team
Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and a strong professional presence.
About you: Hold a recognized ECE qualification (Level 7 or above)
Proven experience in an early childhood settingConfident, energetic, and professional in your practice
Warn, approachable, and able to connect naturally with children and adults
Committed to continuous professional growth and reflective practice
Be available a minimum four days a week or ideally five days a week.
Strong program planning and curriculum skills.
Strong written and communication skills.
