We are urgently seeking a reliable and skilled Excavator Operator / Class 4 Truck Driver to join our dynamic small civil construction team.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operating excavator or heavy vehicles, and be ready to take on new challenges. If you have experience in either a Class 4 Truck Driver or Excavator Operator role, we'd still love to hear from you, as your skills will still be considered.
You will need to demonstrate:- Valid Class 4 driver's licence, with at least 2 years' driving experience (Class 5 is an advantage but not essential)
- Excavator operating experience essential
- Competent with prestart checks, logbooks, and providing accurate delivery dockets
- Previous civil construction experience is an advantage
- Wheels, Track & Roller endorsement (WTR) is an advantage
- Good knowledge health and safety practices
- Ability to work flexible hours as required, usual start time is 7.30am but at times due to the nature of special project this can change with notice.
- Strong work ethic, team focus attitude and reliability
- A valid driver's licence and own transport to office yard or directly to site where required
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
- Ability to work supervised and unsupervised
- Operate excavators and other plant machinery as required
- Operate Class 4 truck for material & machinery transport and site deliveries
- Assist with labouring work on site projects, including but not limited to site preparation, retaining walls, sea walls, drilling & piling, concrete driveways, sediment control
- Maintain high safety standards on all job sites
- General yard cleaning of machinery equipment as required
You will be working across the Auckland and North Waikato regions with our main office based in Pollok, Auckland. This position would be ideal for someone in the Franklin area but this is not essential.
In return, we can offer:- A full time position (we would consider reduced hours e.g. 5 days to 4 days per week for the right candidate)
- Hourly rates between $32 - $39ph (paid weekly)
