Assistant Manager and Delivery Driver

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our teams in the Opotiki and Ohope (Bay of Plenty) Region. This is a full time role which offers 30 hours minimum per week including weekends based on a rotating roster. We are offering $25 Per Hour depending on the candidate.

• Be responsible for the store operations during your shift.
• Develop and execute a marketing plan tailored to local customers, ensuring pricing aligns with local market dynamics to drive sales.
• Control operational expenses by implementing accurate inventory and portion control practices while aligning staffing levels with business demands.
• Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, purchasing and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency to drive sales.
• Maintain and enforce all safety and security protocols, ensuring timely incident reporting and the upkeep of the premises.
• Hire and train as needed to ensure enough staff is available at all times to provide good customer service.
• Promote clear and consistent communication within the team.
• Establish and keep up with the standards that ensure good customer experiences, promptly addressing feedback and complaints.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards, fostering a respectful, harassment-free workplace with professional behaviour and punctuality.

Job requirements:

• You must have either a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience or a level 4 or higher qualification.
• A Full and Clean Driver's License.
• Must be available to work weekends and late evenings.
• Good communication.
• Be able to lead the team and make good decisions.

For the position of Delivery Driver, the duties are as below:

• Deliver customer orders safely and on time
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
• Receive payments for deliveries and arrange and document accounts

Delivery drivers need to have:

• A full and clean Drivers license
• driving skills
• knowledge of the streets in their delivery area (Training shall be provided)
• good customer service skills
• knowledge of any products they sell
• awareness of relevant health and safety, and transport regulations.
