Part Time Centre Support

We are looking for a Part-Time Centre Administrator to support our community based childcare centre with day-to-day administration and financial tasks
Flexible hours – minimum 10 hours/week (up to 20 hours), negotiable.

This role is flexible, starting with a minimum of 10 hours per week, with the option to increase up to 20 hours.
About the Role:As our Centre Administrator, you’ll work closely with the Centre Manager to ensure smooth operations and accurate record-keeping. Your responsibilities will include:
Support ActivitiesAssisting the daily operations of the centre
Supporting system-based management of children, staff, and resources
General AdministrationSupporting the enrolment process
Submitting MOE RS7 claims
Managing filing, archiving, and the key email account
Financial AdministrationValidating reliever invoices
Balancing parent fees
Managing accounts receivable and payable
This is a varied role combining data entry, administration, and financial tasks.
About you:We are looking for someone who has: Experience with accounting systems (we use Xero) for accounts receivable/payable and bank reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and accurate record keepingA proactive, reliable, and organised approach
Confidence with office systems (Google Workspace, Smartly, Hubdoc, ANZ Direct, Discover would be a plus)
Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with staff and families
Commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally responsive practices
