Dedicated to the delivery of public health care, Waitemata is committed to best care for everyone - to the patient, their family/whanau, the community and iwi, and the healthcare workforce.The West Adult Mental Health Service provides a range of services to people aged 18-65 years who are experiencing mental health difficulties.About the roleWe are looking for an enthusiastic motivated New Zealand registered OT to join a cohesive, multidisciplinary team providing assessment and treatment to service users and their family/whanau.Ideally you will have sound clinical skills, previous mental health experience and be dedicated to supporting service users in their recovery.
If you are able to provide occupational therapy interventions and group work aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of service users plus assume responsibility in a care coordination role then this could be the opportunity for you.EssentialCurrent practising certificate and professional registration from OTBNZRelevant knowledge and experience of occupational therapy and process standardsKnowledge of the recovery approachNZ full driver's licenceLegal right to work in New Zealand (overseas candidates are welcome to apply)Previous mental health experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWe welcome applications from occupational therapists who are new graduates or new to mental health & addictions practice.
Successful candidates will receive comprehensive support, including supervision, mentoring, and coaching.
