Carpenter - Dargaville

Position: Carpenter

Job duties:

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures
• Select appropriate timbers and materials
• Prepare project layouts
• Shape and cut materials to specified measurements using hand or power tools
• Assemble and nail prepared parts to form frameworks or structures for buildings or interior fittings
• Erect frames, trusses, and wood retaining walls
• Install wallboards and floorboards
• Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and install exterior wall cladding, doors, and window frames
• Verify the accuracy and alignment of structures
• Construct and assemble formwork for concrete foundations
• Inspect worksites and perform repairs, maintenance, and renovations as required
• Ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Perform any other duties reasonably required by the employer

Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 3 hours, permanent full-time

Requirements for the job:

• You should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Be physically fit and healthy
• Full time availability, may work on the weekends
• No criminal record
• Candidates need to be NZ citizen/resident
