About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse with leadership experience to lead the Community Nursing Service. This is a key front line leadership role within Health NZ Wairarapa, and is responsible for operational management and leadership for the community nursing teams, including Clinical Nurse Specialists, District Nursing, Oncology and Kahukura (palliative) nursing teams and the home support and administration teams.These teams deliver deliver specialist community nursing and support services that allow people to live well within their whanau and community.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Community Nursing teams delivers community and outpatient services from two locations, based in Masterton and Greytown. They provide care to people in their own homes and in outpatient clinics, and work closely alongside specialist Health NZ services, primary care and community providers.Clients cover the age spectrum and present with a diverse range of needs that require community nursing care, specialist nursing management and / or short term home supports.

This is a permanent full time position working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), working Monday to Friday.
About you- You will have at least five years' nursing experience including a management / leadership role, and will have a sound knowledge of community based clinical nursing practice.
- You will have a strong client centred approach, superb communication skills and the ability to form strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across a range of settings.
- You will thrive in a busy environment and take pride in leading a team to deliver effective, safe and timely community services that result in positive outcomes for clients, and support the achievement of Health Targets.
