Formwork Carpenters Wanted

This is an excellent opportunity to work for an experienced and well-established construction company.

We are looking for 5 full-time (minimum 30 hours to maximum 60 hours per week, working from Monday to Sunday) Formwork Carpenters to join our team on a Permanent basis. The location of work will be across both Auckland Region and Waikato Region.

You will need to have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the same field/industry or have a relevant level 4 or equivalent qualifications/certificates.

Formwork Carpenters are required to:

Read and understand specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans
Prepare project work procedure and determine dimensions and materials required
Plan the order and selection of timbers and other materials, and prepare layouts
Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand or power tools
Assemble and nail prepared parts to form framework or structures or foundation for constructing buildings
Construct building frames and install cladding on the inside and outside of buildings
Remove and repair existing fittings, conduct renovation and maintenance service for the wood structures
Complete concrete formwork when required
To able to work with steel and metal materials when required

Successful candidates will also need to be/have:

a great team player, be able to follow instructions
physically fit and willingness to work hard
Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
"can-do" attitude

We offer a competitive wage of $28 per hour and it could be negotiated to $29.00 per hour depending on your personal attributes and experiences.
