Experienced Heavy Diesel Field Mechanic- Kapiti

You’ll be maintaining and repairing a wide range of earthmoving machinery and plant equipment, working in an environment that encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and pride in getting the job done right.

• Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or experienced journeyman with proven ability on similar fleets)
• Motivated, reliable, and safety-conscious with a positive, can-do positive attitude
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills (experience with diagnostic software an advantage)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, with a sense of humour and a commitment to high standards
• Full, clean driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred – Class 4/5 an advantage)

• Carry out daily repairs and maintenance across our fleet and other equipment
• Support the wider workshop team when needed
• Occasionally supervise and train apprentices
