1. Take responsibility for monitoring the daily operations on all work sites
2. Ensure that the manager is kept fully informed of the day to day developments within the business
3. Assign duties to staff and conduct worksite assessments prior to the commencement of contracts.
4. Develop and maintain professional, open and honest working relationships with the staff and management
5. Provide leadership to the teams acting as a positive role model in a senior capacity
6. Provide close support to the team leaders and provide advice they may require
7. Work closely with management in regards to recruitment and ensure that each team leaderis below is not under too much pressure
8. Ensure staff performance is at an optimum level
9. Manage your own team and ensure all operations are supervised closely
10. Handle any tricky situations to assist team leaders if they require assistance
11. Monitor workers to detect inefficient or unsafe work procedures or to identify problems, initiating corrective action as necessary.
12. Plan and supervise infrastructure or collection maintenance functions
13. Assist management in any personnel decision making.
14. Ensure work quality and work ethics are never compromised
15. Ensure all teams are complying with employment and health and safety regulations.
16. Take responsibility in resolving queries regarding contract rates, payslips and payment disputes.
17. Ensure all timesheets handed by team leaders at the end of the day are accurate
18. planning and overseeing the provision and maintenance of infrastructure such as equipment, machinery, sheds and water supply systems and irrigation systems
19. organising farming operations and routines, such as collecting, storing, grading and packaging produce
20. Any other related tasks may be assigned from time to time as
