Registered Nurse Radiology

Rotorua Hospital

Fixed Term, Part-time (0.6 FTE/48 hours per fortnight)

Monday to Friday

Specialised skills, NO shift work.

Work with a friendly team of five nurses, radiographers, clinical assistants and Radiologists, with great support and the opportunity to upskill with ultrasound vascular access.

About the Role

Responsibilities include consenting and preparing patients for procedures, administering contrast for CT scans, working alongside radiographers and radiologists doing interventional procedures which include biopsies, drainages, aspirations, and portacath insertions.

This role also allows upskilling to ultrasound vascular access skills. We currently have five nurses within the department and work amongst a variety of modalities including ultrasound, CT, MRI and Fluoroscopy.

About you
  • As a Radiology Nurse you will have the following
  • At least two years Nursing experience
  • Hold a current NZ annual practicing certificate
  • Ultrasound cannulation/ PICC inserter preferable but not necessary
