About the Role

Take the opportunity to step into a leadership role where you influence clinical practice, team performance, and service delivery across community and outpatient allied health services. As Team Lead, you will provide clinical and operational leadership to Speech Language Therapy, Dietetics, Physiotherapy Outpatients, and Community Allied Health teams, supporting staff, strengthening service delivery, and advocating for high quality, patient-centred care.

About the Team/Service/Location

Community and Outpatient Allied Health services in the Eastern Bay of Plenty deliver care across a range of settings, supporting people to remain well and independent within their communities. You will work alongside Professional Leads, fellow Team Leads, and senior leadership including Associate Directors and the Chief Allied Health Officer to build a cohesive, high performing service.

The team culture values collaboration, shared leadership, and continuous improvement. Based in Whakatane, this role offers the opportunity to lead within a connected community while enjoying a coastal lifestyle.

About You

You will be an experienced Allied Health professional with proven leadership capability and the confidence to support teams across multiple disciplines. You bring strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships at all levels, and a commitment to developing people services.

You lead with clarity and purpose, balancing clinical credibility with operational awareness, and you are motivated to create a culture that supports excellence, collaboration, and positive patient outcomes.

What you will bring:

Registration with a relevant New Zealand Allied Health regulatory body and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
Strong clinical background with the ability to support multidisciplinary teams
Experience in service delivery, coordination, and quality improvement
Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills
Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and across services
