About the Role: 80 hours, based in Whanganui

We are looking for an empathetic, passionate support worker to join our team committed to providing genuine care, warmth, and kindness to the people who live and work in the home If you are someone who brings compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in making a positive difference to others lives please apply.

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 11pm - 7am the following day

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday 11pm - 7am the following day

We're Looking for Someone With:

  • A Passion for Tangata/People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people.
  • Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
  • Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
  • Practical Skills: The ability to carry out personal cares, including showering and dressing.
  • Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
  • Relevant Qualification (or commitment to obtain): A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing Level 4 or a commitment to working towards this qualification, which will be funded by MASH Trust.
  • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in disability residential care
