- transitioning to AMS Leader later in the year.Support configuration changes and systems enhancements within PSe(AMS Leader and UKG Dimensions (Mahi e Taea)Monitor exception reporting and address data anomalies promptlyEnsure timely data verification and quality control processes are completedRisk, Compliance & Quality AssuranceUndertake regular compliance and fraud detection checksEnsure payroll processing complies with the Holidays Act 2003, collective agreements, and internal policiesSupport a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvementStakeholder & Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with managers, employees, HR teams, and external stakeholdersEnsure all communication is professional, accurate, and timelyWork collaboratively with HR Consultants, Recruitment, AskHR, and wider HR teams to deliver seamless payroll and HR administration servicesLiaise with government agencies and external organisations including Inland Revenue, NZ Immigration, NZ Police, and Professional Registration Boards as requiredAbout YouYou will be a highly experienced payroll professional withstrong leadership capability and a passion for delivering exceptional servicein a complex environment.Essential Skills & ExperienceCommitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for MāoriExtensive people leadership experienceMinimum 10 years' NZ payroll experienceAt least 5 years' experience within a large, complex payroll environmentExperience working with multiple collective agreementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service focusHigh attention to detail and problem-solving abilityDesired Skills & ExperienceHR qualification or relevant tertiary studyPrevious IR/ER experienceExperience working within the NZ health sectorProcess improvement experienceExperience using AMS Leader and UKG Dimensions Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
