Job Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the relevant field (can be waived based on qualification)Education: At least Level 7 qualification in any field (can be waived based on work experience)
Position Description:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure food is consistently presented to a high standard and available during operating hours.
Cook with Chef on daily food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
Support meal preparation for functions and catering events as directed.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, utensils, and equipment in accordance with the cleaning and maintenance schedules.
Follow the Food Control Plan and comply with all Food Safety Requirements.
Monitor stock levels and inform the Chef or Store Manager when supplies need replenishment.
Minimise food wastage by proper handling and storage of ingredients.
Assist in training new kitchen assistants in basic cooking and hygiene procedures when required.
Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety Regulations at all times.
