Work at the forefront of Water reform for your regionCollaborate with stakeholders both internally and externallyBased close to the beach and shops in PetoneThis is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.The remuneration range for this role is 98,925 to $139,658 p.a (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.The opportunityThis is your once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of our team as we enter a transformative time for the water sector.You will support the Manager Financial Experience in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial systems and processes by:Driving business improvements through the development and implementation of process enhancementsProviding financial modelling, analysis, advice, and support on project related work across Finance and the wider organisation.This is a senior role and will be able to work independently and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders (such as the regional modelling team) to drive financial process improvement and the effective delivery of projects, with a focus on continuous improvement and value for money.About youTo be successful in this role you will bring the following:Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) qualificationFive plus years of relevant accounting experienceExperience in financial modelling, and complex budgeting and forecasting processesExperience with large financial information systems, with experience in Technology One preferredAn understanding of the nuances of the political operating environment that Wellington Water conducts its business in, be politically savvy.BenefitsAt Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
