Area Manager

BAHAD ENTERPRISES LIMITED in the Waikato region is seeking a skilled Area Manager to oversee daily courier operations, ensure efficiency, and manage teams with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Oversee and manage daily courier operations to ensure timely, efficient, and reliable deliveries.
• Plan and optimise delivery routes and schedules to maximise efficiency and meet customer expectations.
• Recruit, train, and supervise delivery drivers and support staff, maintaining high service standards.
• Ensure fleet maintenance and compliance with all road safety and transport regulations.
• Manage operational costs, including budgets, fuel usage, and other expenses, to support profitability.
• Address delivery issues, customer concerns, and operational delays promptly and professionally.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track service quality and performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and external partners.
• Utilise logistics and transport management systems for route planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Prepare operational and performance reports for management review.
• Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and transport industry regulations.
• Carry out other duties as required to support efficient and effective transport operations.

You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with an hourly pay rate ranging from $30 to $40, depending on experience and suitability for the role.

Requirements for the role:

• Minimum of 2 years industry experience or at least a relevant Level-6 qualification.
• Flexible to work on weekends when required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people.
• Excellent coordination and time management abilities
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment
